Rozelle (West) Holt

Rozelle West Holt (92) passed away August 22, 2019. She was born in Roanoke, VA. April 16, 1927. She was the youngest of 5 children of Claude and Ilie (Ledbetter) West.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Charles R. Holt, sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Jack Ford, brother- in-law, Dave Robinson, brothers Bob and Lee Hackler West and her son in law, Roger Gribble.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Gribble, granddaughter, Angie (Rich) Hedlund of Atlanta, GA. and two precious great granddaughters, Tori and Lexi Hedlund. She is survived by her sister Mae Robinson of Aiken, SC. along with several nieces and nephews.

Rozelle will be remembered through - out Cocke County as a bookkeeper. Her early career included working for Minis Drugstore, Dr. Hobert Ford and the Chilhowee Company (the extract) where she worked for Mr. Charlie Ruble and Mr. Pat Lindsey. The major span of her career found her at Newport Manufacturing Company where she was office manager.

The family will receive friends 2pm to 3pm, Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the chapel of First Baptist Church Newport. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3pm with Dr. Rich Lloyd officiating.
