Brenda L. Parks

Brenda L. Parks, age 71 of Newport, went to be with the Lord and her heavenly family on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Brenda was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid gardener, cat lover, and doll collector. Cooking was a passion, and she took great joy making pies for friends and family. The beach was her favorite place, and family was her life. She was a kind and loving soul. She was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Opal Parks; daughter, Kathy L. Styles; sister, Carolyn Leonard; brother, Doyle Parks. Brenda is survived by children, Jimmy (Elwood Lambert) Gregory, Jay (Lois) Gregory, Angelia (Leonard) Myers; grandchildren, Cheltsea, Kendra, Leeanna, Latrisha, Carrie, Sierra, Caitlen; 12 great grandchildren; life long friend, James Gregory; special friends, Jerry, Brenda Workman; numerous extended family. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel. Memorial service will begin at 6:00pm, Pastor Chris Burrell officiating. Resthaven Funeral Home is honored to serve the Parks family.
