Carolyn Shelton

Carolyn Shelton, 73, passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2024. She will be remembered as being a strong, independent woman by her loved ones. Carolyn was an avid reader, loved gardening, and spending time in the kitchen cooking. She also loved spending time with pets.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Fred Shelton; mother, Dorothy Shelton; brother, Freddie Shelton; and son-in-law Ed Smith.

She is survived by her companion of fourteen years, Tim Partin; daughters, Wendy Smith and Julie (Junior) Dunn; sisters, Marilyn (Ben) Hogan, Rita Marshall, and Kim (Bud) Tatum; Grandchildren, Stefanie Smith (Mike Allender), Eddie (Courtney) Smith Jr., Niki Way, and Hayli (Curtis) Smith; Great-Grandchildren, Matthew Kehr; Noah Kehr, Eddie Smith III, Maggie Allender, Bailey Allender, and Payton Allender; Life long special friend Johnny Hance; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 12 noon at Gethsemane Freewill Baptist Church 1320 Good Hope Road, Parrottsville, TN 37843. A gathering of family and friends immediately after the service will be held in the fellowship hall.
