Colleen Johnson

Colleen Jean Johnson of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025 at the graceful age of 98. 

Colleen was born in Illinois to George and Frances Harlow. She met the love of her life, Henry Johnson, in the early 1940s and married January 11, 1947. 

Colleen and Henry were inseparable, creating a beautiful family of 7. Their five children, Karen, LaRee, Lewis, Diane and Neil kept Colleen and Henry very busy. Colleen spent most of her days being the best house wife and Mother. She was known for her enthusiasm for music, dancing and engaging with her friends and family. She was also known for her love of God. 

When Colleen and Henry moved to Tennessee in the 1990s they spent much of their time with their Church family in Jefferson City. Colleen helped with many Church gatherings, meals and activities. She was a kind soul with wisdom beyond the stars. 

Colleen was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She will truly be missed by many and loved forever by all.

She is survived by her daughters Karen Dillon and Diane Grover, and her son Neil Johnson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Laura, Michael, Dawn, Jennifer, Amanda, William Jr., Lance and Brittany, along with her many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Father and her true loves Husband Henry, Daughter LaRee, Son Lewis, Granddaughters Robyn and Sunnee, and her Grandsons Tommy and Johnny. 

The Johnson Family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Seneca Trail Nursing Home in Lewisburg, WV for taking such incredible care of Colleen during her final years. 

Funeral services will be held Monday March 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum with burial to follow..
