Dan Arwood

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dan Arwood, age 76 of Sevierville, TN. He left this world to be with the Lord on October 20, 2024. Born on July 31, 1948. Dan was a man of deep faith, love, and creativity.

Dan's devotion to the Lord was the cornerstone of his life. He was a charter member of Purpose Church where he not only worshipped but also shared his passion for singing. His beautiful voice brought inspiration and comfort to many, and he loved using his gift to glorify God.

In addition to his faith, Dan was a talented painter. He expressed his love for the world around him through his art, capturing the beauty of life and nature on canvas. His creativity was a reflection of his spirit, and he often used his talents to uplift those around him.

Dan was preceded in death by his Father & Mother (Tarzan & Elsie Arwood); Brother (Thomas Arwood); Sisters (Sandra Fite, Brenda Squire, and Diane Bruce); His loving wife Carolyn Arwood. 

Dan is survived by his loving children; Rena (Tim ) Charles, Tiffany (Jason) Martin. Andrea (Jack) Dobson, Joel (Theresa) Arwood, Shannon (Levi) Johnson, Heather Wood; his beloved grandchildren, Ethan, April, Andrew, Meagan, Devin, Trey, Sara, Spencer, Layla, Nicholas, Savannah, Kaytlin, Eli, Madeline, Zeke, Joey, Ezra, Lily, Emerson, and Everly;  great grandchildren Zoe, Lydia, Finley, Eevee, Lillian, Landon, Wyatt, Paxton and Grayson. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Purpose Church (1018 Oak Street Sevierville, TN) on Wednesday, October 23rd. Receiving of friends will be from 10am-12pm, with funeral service at 12pm. A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Dan, your love for the Lord, your music, and your art will continue to inspire and resonate in our hearts forever.
