Darrell Austin Nance, 70, passed away unexpectedly at home with his loving wife of 37 years, Annette, by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Stanley Nance and Mabel Leona Nance, seven brothers, and one sister.
Darrell is survived by his beloved wife Annette Nance; his children Gina Rines Moneypenny (Terry), Tabatha Rines McKinney (LeAnn), and Travis Rines; two children in Colorado from a previous marriage; and his cherished grandchildren Nathaniel Rines and Blake Rines. He is also survived by brothers Roger Nance Sr., Dee Nance, and Virgil Nance; one special nephew he adored, Roger Nance Jr. (Jr.); and several other nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. His favorite sister‑in‑law, Diane Padgett — who he loved to aggravate and who would give it right back — shared many moments of teasing and always tried to get the last word; they loved one another with their whole hearts. He also leaves a beloved brother‑in‑law.
Darrell never met a stranger. Generous and warm, he would give anyone the shirt off his back and loved spending hours trading stories, especially with his father‑in‑law. Above all, he adored his wife of 37 years. They played video games, laughed together, and teased one another — Annette was his Pum and he was her PoDo.
Darrell may be gone from our side, but he will never be forgotten. Fly high until we see you again. We love you.
