Demetra Spraker Obituary

Demetra Lorraine Spraker, (62) of New Market, Tn. gained her heavenly wings on May 27, 2021. She was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. Demetra graduated from Carson Newman University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and eventually was employed at Carson Newman for many years. She was an active member at Emmanuel Baptist Church where she enjoyed so much taking her grandchildren with her. She is preceded in death by her sister Kim Spraker. She is survived by her parents, Harold and Alma Spraker; sister, Lorena Spraker, daughter, Brittany Cameron (Samuel); twin sons, John Stapleton (Molisa) and Anthony Stapleton (Ashley); and a multitude of grandchildren whom were her world and referred to her as “Grandma D”. A service will be held for Demetra on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Tn. from 5:00-7:00pm with Sonny Strange officiating.
