Elizabeth Ann Barnes

Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Barnes, 54, of Newport, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023. Beth loved to spend her time crafting and sewing and was known to give away her crafts as gifts often. She had a heart bigger than the outdoors and was well loved by all that knew her. She loved to help out with Bella at school. Beth enjoyed taking road trips and girl trips with her friends. She loved to decorate for all holidays and had a passion for finding a good bargain.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Lawson Shults; mother-in-law, Imogene Barnes; brother-in-law, Lynn Barnes; daughter, Brittany Cody; and grandparents, Edna and Clayton Cody.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, David Barnes; sister, Christy Bailey; brother, William Shults; son, David “Scott” (Chrissy) Barnes; goddaughter, Adalyn Bennett; godson, Brexton Bennett; granddaughter, Bella Cody; grandson, Connor Barnes; sister-in-law, Donna (Terry) Shults; friends, Amanda and Johnny Bennett, Tiffany DeJean, Donna Alvarado, Ann Ball, Vanessa Dennis and Becky Massey; best friend, Sammi Ball; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
