Floyd Marshall Williams, age 86, of Dandridge, departed this earth surrounded by the loves of his life—his wife Thelma and daughter Tammy—and entered his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Floyd married Mary Thelma Helton in 1962. For over 63 years, he was a devoted and godly husband, loving Thelma deeply and immensely. The love shared among Floyd, Thelma, and Tammy was endless wholehearted love for each other.
Floyd was of Baptist faith and attended West End Baptist Church in Newport for many years. Even when his health prevented him from attending in person, he remained faithful by worshipping through the radio every Sunday morning. Floyd’s faith never wavered, and he felt truly blessed throughout his life.
Floyd retired from Magnavox after 40 years and devoted his time to his hobby farm. Over the years, Floyd could often be found working on old cars and trucks, tinkering with Volkswagens, or enjoying camping near a lake or streams in the mountains.
Floyd leaves behind a legacy of faith, warmth, and deep family devotion that will always be treasured. He was preceded in death by his son, best friend, and the apple of his eye, Floyd Dale, along with his parents, Boyd and Anna Kate Williams.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Thelma, and his daughter, Tammy, whom he loved more than life itself. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother, Willis (Sheila) Williams; his nephew, Jason Williams and family; his niece, Alex Davis and family; along with many other loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Among them, a very special niece, Karen Reading, held a truly special place in Floyd’s and Thelma’s heart. She stood faithfully by their side through the years, through both the good times and the hard days—always ready to help, always bringing comfort, and always making him feel deeply loved, especially with her thoughtful garden goodies.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West End Baptist Church Newport, TN.
