Genevieve Nash Garrett

Genevieve Nash Garrett, age 89, of White Pine, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She loved the Lord and playing the piano. She was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Geneva Allsup; sons, Johnny Ray Nash, and Timothy (Buck) Nash; husband, Fred Garrett; granddaughter, Renee Watson. Survived by daughter, Sherry Purkey; grandchildren, Freddy Nash, Jodie (Elizabeth) Purkey, Connie (Roger) Reeder, Tiffany Lewis; several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brother, Don Allsup; daughter in law, Debbie Nash; special friend Treva Raines. The family would like to give a special thank you to Smokey Mountain Hospice for their wonderful care. Family will receive friends Monday, December 20, 2021, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel from 12:00 pm-1:00pm. Service will begin at 1:00pm with entombment to follow, Chaplain Danny Hill officiating. The family requests that masks be worn at the visitation and service. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made in Genevieve’s memory to Smokey Mountain Hospice.
