George Anthony Webb

March 28, 1959 – September 1, 2025

George Anthony Webb, age 66, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 1, 2025.

Born on March 28, 1959, George was a talented songwriter whose passion for music touched many lives. He found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially fishing and spending time in the mountains. His kind heart, creativity, and love for his family will be deeply missed.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George S. Jr. and Violet (Johnson) Webb; his brother, Tipton Webb; and sisters, Sandra Phillips and Patsy Austin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Fredia (Arrington) Webb; son, Joseph Webb; daughter, Katie Collins (mother: Leslie Fowler); and granddaughter, Addison Arrington. He is also survived by his sister, Vickie Webb; nephew, Chad Webb; nieces, Karen Gentry, Melinda Vadasy, Missy Shults, Julie Cureton, Stacy Hogg, and Kristy Waddell.

Additional surviving family include his mother-in-law, Loretta L. Arrington, and sisters-in-law, Linda Gray, Lois Gregory, Debbie Arrington, and Donna Arrington—as well as many cherished extended family members and friends.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Trent and the nursing staff at Newport Medical Center, the Amedisys nursing team, and the compassionate staff at Broadway and Main Pharmacy for their care and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum.
