Georgia Ruth (Hill) Green

Georgia Ruth Hill Green, 65, of Dandridge, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Johnson City Medical Center after several years of failing health.  Ruth was born on March 29, 1955 to John and Grace Cody Hill in Cocke County, Tennessee.  She is preceded in death by her father, John Hill, son John David Hill and brothers Kenny, Marvin and Donald Hill.  In laws, Raymond and Georgia Green.  Ruth is survived by her husband, Buster Green, two precious grandsons, Marcus and Damian Hill.  She also leaves behind three brothers; David Hill, Rev. Johnny (Sharon) Hill and Mark (Delores) Hill, two sisters; Carolyn Hill Southerland and Judy Hill (Billy) Wise.  Brothers in law, Coy and Amos (Linda) Green.  An array of additional family and friends including Barbara Lancaster, Karen Brinson and Ronnie Hill.  She was of the Baptist faith being a member of Northport Baptist Church.  Ruth had a personality like none other.  She was always ready to lend a helping hand and will be fondly remebered by the many who knew her.  A memorial service is being planned for Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum at 4:30pm with Dennis Strange officiating. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Slade Claiborne and the staff of Resthaven Funeral Home-Cemetery-Cremations for their outreach of kindness and help.
