James Glen Cox

James Glen Cox, (64) of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, May 26, 2023.  James is well known in the five rivers area for his voice.  Throughout his career in broadcasting, he was the DJ for WLIK Radio out of Newport and WCRK of Morristown.  James, well known as a local auctioneer excelled quite well at his craft for many auctions.   James is survived by his wife, Rosetta Cox; daughter, Diana (Terry) Collins; sons, Sean (Sharon) Wright, and Justin Cutshaw (Nicole Hall); sister, Marylynn (Robert) Jenkins; and very special cousin Thomas Hensley, several nieces and nephews and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ernie Cox; mother, Shirley Burgin; uncle, Jim Brown; and aunt, Betty Davis.  The family invites friends and coworkers of James over the years to come celebrate him at a Celebration of Life Service that will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the Centerview Ruritan Building starting a 2:00pm.
