James (Hal) Valentine

James (Hal) Valentine, age 71, passed away peacefully at Morristown Hamblen Hospital surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie Frost Valentine; children David (wife Lindsey), and Heather (husband John). He had five grandchildren; Brooke, McKenzie, Carson, Aubrey, and Austin, and is also survived by his step-mother Lora Mae, brother Ronnie, sister June, and sister-in-law Ling. He received a
bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from East Tennessee State. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War ,where he served as a First Lieutenant, and came home with a passion for serving the homeless and those less fortunate. He always had a story to share, a joke to tell, and never met a stranger. He was a member of Freedom Fellowship White Pine church where he also was an active member of the Iron Men service group. A celebration of Hal’s life will be held at Freedom Fellowship church, 3109 Circle Dr, White Pine, TN 37890. The receiving of family and friends will be held on Sunday January 12th 2020 at 3:30, the service will begin at 4:00.
