James "Boss" Anthony Collett

James Anthony Collett (Boss) 51, of Newport,Tennessee passed away at his life partner Chrissy Sequin's home in Carson Springs, Tn. on January 12th, 2024. James Collett was born June 21, 1972 in New York. James was an active member of Sandhill Church Of God in Jesus Name in Del Rio Tn. He loved Jesus and loved telling people about Jesus even more . James owned a handyman business and was well known in the community for his big heart and always trying to help anyone he could. To know James Collett was to know love. However, his greatest loves were his two sons Connor Collett and Austin Collett. His only grandson Micheal Anthony Collett whom he loved dearly.He is preceded in Death by his parents Alice Diane Huff and John Collett

Survivors include his life partner Chrissy Sequin; Two sons; Conner Collett and his mother Wendy Patterson Collett of Knoxville, Tn. son  Austin Collett and his mother Donna Arrington and Austin's life partner Christa Church of Cosby, Tn; one grandson Michael Anthony Collett of Cosby, Tn; Brother Donald Jenkins of Cosby, Tn; Sister Brandy Collett Sutton and husband Wayne Sutton of Morristown, Tn; Two nieces Tasha Sutton and Heather Sutton, Two nephews Damien Jenkins and Johnathan Sutton.

James will be missed by so many but especially his closest friend's Gary Ball of Cosby TN.  Demarcus Knight, Chelsie Shoemaker and Mickie Phillips and wife Diana Phillips and his Goddaughter Adalyn Phillips all of Newport, Tn. 

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, January 22, 2024 with Pastor Tommy Ball officiating at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The Family will be viewing from 3PM - 4PM, friends are welcome from 4PM - 6PM. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
