John Leslie Daniel, 68, passed on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a long-time resident of both Vero Beach, Florida where he taught his kids to swim, fish, and farm clams, and Dandridge, Tennessee where he spent his retirement farming, plowing fields and growing sunflowers.
John, an avid birdhouse builder, and curator of “stuff” lived a beautiful life surrounded by his family, those that quickly became family, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his Sons, John “J.D” Daniel, and Robert Kimberlin; parents, Mark and Doris Daniel; beloved brother, Mark Daniel.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Becky Sue Daniel; Daughters, Rebecca Daniel and Amber Whitmer; Grandchildren, Brock Mathis, Ann Mathis and Anthony “Tony” Mathis, Malachi Nixon and Hidiya Nixon; Siblings, Diana (Bill) Dolk, Steven Daniel, Patrica (Alan) Voils; his many nieces and nephews; the Douglas Family; Eddie, Gina, and Tyler, along with Jeffrey Mathis, David Sanders, and Harold, all whom he loved dearly.
At this time there will not be a funeral service as his family will be honoring his request to return him to the ocean.
