Junior Wallace Parton

Junior Wallace Parton, age 80, of Del Rio, passed away at his daughters’ home on Friday, July 8, 2022. Junior was loved by many. He loved being in the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He was the happiest when he was around his grand babies. He enjoyed aggravating kids, but they always loved him. Junior always helped anyone he could. He was one that always had amazing stories to share. He loved life and lived it big. Walking by the pastures and counting cattle. He was a busy body, and always had to be doing something. Daddy, you will be missed by all of us. Tell momma and Bubba we said hello. You’re at peace now, Daddy, rest easy, I love you.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda J. Parton; son, Joe Parton; parents, Bart and Mary Parton; brothers, Y.J., Billy Jack, Lawrence Parton; sister, Lucille Woody.

Junior is survived by daughter, Jeanie Lynn Parton-Simpson; grandchildren, Paul Derek Simpson, Waylon Cash Parton, McKinzie Parton, and Evan Tanner Parton; sisters, Pauline McClure, Janice Pierce, Bobby Ann Rathbone, Reva Dean Parton, Becky Parton; Special friend, Judy Turner.

Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am at Stokely Cemetery in Del Rio on Monday, July 11, 2022, for a 10:00 am Graveside service. Pastor Steve Blanchard officiating. Following the service, everyone will be welcome to have food and fellowship at Del Rio Volunteer Fire Department. Resthaven Funeral Home is honored to serve the Parton family.
