Lewis Edward (Jr.) Adkins

It's with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lewis Adkins, (49) of Newport, TN. Lewis passed away in the comfort of his home on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Lewis was born June 4, 1975 in Hinton, WV to Jimmy Junior Adkins and Louella Braskey. Lewis never met a stranger! His heart was as big as the moon. Lewis's tight hugs were the best. If you hadn't ever received one you missed out. They were the most loving feeling in the whole world. Lewis loved hard, played hard and put all his blood, sweat and tears into everything he did. He was a gifted tinkerer and could fix anything! He loved the snow, water, and mountains because of the way they calmed his mind and soul. There's absolutely nothing he wouldn't try. Lewis was a great man, father, brother, son and friend to so many.  He made everyone stronger by being apart of their lives. He was loved tremendously and will be missed even more.

Lewis is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Junior Adkins; brothers, Jimmy Junior Adkins and Ross Edward Adkins and sister, Rebecca Susan Adkins.

He is survived in death by sons, Logan Edward Adkins, Christopher Richard Roth, Zachary Gadge Adkins; daughter, Heather Louise Roth; sisters, Vickie Kesner and family, Alice Forren and family, Christy Adkins, Felicia Adkins and family; mother, Louella Braskey; the love of his life Dawn Kane; dear friend, Tommy Large and family; several nieces, nephews and cousins along with all of the friends he has made over the years. (So so many)

Lewis will be commemorated by his family in a private celebration of life family gathering.   The Lewis family will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
