Linda Gail James

On June 7, 2024, Linda Gail James, age 70, peacefully departed this world surrounded by her loved ones. Her passing is met with deep sorrow, as she was known for her kindness and will be profoundly missed. Linda's influential presence has left an enduring impact on many lives, ensuring that her memory will endure for generations to come.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Mark Buckner Sr. and Edna Ottinger Buckner, as well as her siblings: Mark Buckner Jr., Cleatis Buckner, Charlie Buckner, Dorothy Brogan, Joyce Renner, Nona Reed, and Virginia Holt. She is also reunited in death with her beloved husband Gary James and two cherished sons, Richard James and Cleatis James.

Surviving siblings include Norman Buckner, Ken Buckner, Mary Madron, Bobby McCarter, Melba Turley, Betty Davis, and Dennis Buckner. She is survived by her adored son Travis James and daughter-in-law Greta James. Her treasured grandchildren: Christian James, Matthew James and his wife Virginia James, Noah James, Nathaniel James, and Olivia James, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family to Linda. She held deep affection for each and every one of them.

A Graveside Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, at 2 PM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with the service to be held outdoors. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made, a gesture that would be greatly valued during this time of grieving.
