Liston Clinton Sane, 76, of Parrottsville, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 24th, following a lengthy illness. Liston graduated from Parrottsville High School in 1965 and is also a graduate of Greenevile Technical School. Before his retirement, Liston was employed by Magnavox Phillips for 38 years. For eight years, he was employed by the Cocke County Road Department. Liston was known as a lifelong farmer of the Long Creek community. Liston was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church where he attended until his health prevented it.
Liston was preceded in death by his son Stacey Brian Sane; parents Clinton and Susie Sane; sisters Mildred Sane Wegg and Minnie Faye Sane Ottinger. Liston is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years Paula Smith Sane, his grandson, Clinton Hunter Sane, several nieces and nephews, and his Parrottsville High School Class of 1965 classmates.
Per his request, he will be cremated. There will be a memorial service Saturday, July 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
