Lloyd C. "L.C." Gregg

L.C. Gregg of Newport passed away peacefully on Sunday surrounded by his loving family and friends.

L .C. spent 43 years in the banking business and drew great pleasure interacting with his customers and business partners. He knew no stranger and was very active in his clubs and organizations. He enjoyed golf, hunting, gardening, cooking, and canning his jellies. On a summer night you could often find him in his backyard swing watching the koi fish or listening to the frogs.

He is preceded in death by his wife Pat Gregg, parents Curtis and Geneva Gregg, brothers Jerry and Gene Gregg.

He is survived by his daughter Chris (Steve) Shoopman and his son M. Todd (Suzanne) Gregg, grandchildren Cara (Michael) Bledsoe, Mandi (Andrew) Moore, Kayla Smith (Jarrett Zanders), Sheena (Zack) Hunley, and Todd Shoopman, great grandchildren John, Mason, Parker, and Brinley Moore, Audrey Zanders, Lawson, Lillie, and Grayson Bledsoe, and Landon, Liam, and Isabella Hunley.

The family will receive friends June 23, 2023 at First United Methodist Church from 5:00-7:00pm with services to follow.
