Lloyd F ("Pops") Lipp

Lloyd F. Lipp “Pops”, 89, of Del Rio, Tn. formerly of Gilbertsville, Ky passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 surrounded by his family, in his home in Del Rio, Tn.

Lloyd was born on November 3, 1935 in Ozora, Mo to the late Xavier Lipp and Teletha (Brown) Lipp. Lloyd was a proud veteran of the US Army. He married his loving wife, Carole Joyce (Kirchner) on July 29, 1961. Lloyd was a Painting Business owner and union painter in St. Louis, Mo for over fifty years. He and Carole retired to Gilbertsville, Ky. in 1985 after many years of camping and fishing in the Ky lake area. He and Carole were both members of the Draffenville Lions Club.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed a day fishing on Ky Lake or just enjoying a good hike in Land Between the Lakes. He is survived by daughters Robin Stamper (Chris) of Benton, Ky, Tonya Drost (Roger) of Del Rio, Tn; sons Mike Lipp of Sharp, Ky, and Darren Lipp of Gilbertsville, Ky; grandchildren Jeremy Meredith, Daisha Loehr (Kenny), Alicia Lipp (Matt), Chris Lipp (Tori), Allie Salley (Jacob), Josh Thebeau, and Graysen Lipp, Robert Sams (Julia), Ashley Sams and Tim Sams (Miranda); sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two sisters Joyce Lalumondiere, Carol Bahr; four brothers Melvin, Xavier Jr., Jerry and Dick Lipp all of Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his wife Carole; father Xavier; mother Teletha; twin brother Floyd; brother Bob; sisters Bernadine, Daisy, and Ann; one daughter-in-law Carol, and one grandson Josh.

There is no service scheduled at this time but Celebration of Life service in Benton, Ky and Ozora, Mo will be at a later date
