Mayford Eslinger

Mayford Eslinger, 81, of Newport, TN. passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Mayford is described by his family as a man who loved God and his church family.  He has been a devoted member of Edgemont Church of God for many years.  After retiring from Berkline, Mayford would spend his free time piddling on small engines. He also enjoyed browsing the different vendors at local Flea Markets. Mayford is preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Eslinger; siblings, Ralph Eslinger, Ruth Wallen, Ruel Eslinger, Paul Eslinger, Mary Nell Williams (Mayfords twin sister), Orpha Teague Roberts, and special aunt, Iva Eslinger. He is survived by siblings, Johnny Eslinger, Regina Eslinger Hannon and several nieces, nephews and other family members. The family would like to give a Special Thank You to Tammy Francis and the staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice. Additionally, a special thank you to Linda and Debbie for all their love and care.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00pm at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Steve Johnson and Pastor Tim Owen officiating. Burial will follow.
