Nathanael Sean Evans, 27, of Newport, TN, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2025, in Knoxville, TN. Born on July 24, 1997, in Marion, Ohio, Nathanael, lovingly known as "Bub," was a beacon of joy to everyone who knew him. His infectious personality and ability to light up any room with love and laughter will be forever cherished by his family and friends. Whether playing an instrument or sharing a song, Nathanael was always the life of the party, hosting impromptu concerts that made those around him smile.
In 2015, Nathanael and his family moved to Sevierville, TN, where he began building a life that brought him immense joy and fulfillment, especially through the love of his three beautiful sons—Karson Reilley Kerr-Evans (7), Michael Sean Evans (5), and Maverick Sean Evans (1). Nathanael treasured every moment spent with his family, whether hiking, playing music, watching movies, or embarking on adventures with his boys and niece, Haisley.
Above all, Nathanael was the most caring son, the best big brother, a loving and devoted father, a loyal and true friend and a devoted follower of Christ. His unwavering love and dedication to his family made him an incredible husband and an irreplaceable part of their lives.
Nathanael is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Paul and Louella Kanagy, John and Minnie Osborne, Wilburn and Genevieve Evans, Clyde and Pearl Cline, as well as many great uncles and aunts.
Nathanael is survived by his wife, Bella; sons, Karson, Michael, and Maverick; parents, Aaron Sean and Jacqueline Evans; sisters, Kileah May and Jimara Martin; brother-in-law, John Tyler May; nieces, Haisley May and Akiyah Collins; the mother of his two oldest sons, Kaitlin Evans; grandparents, Art and Pat Kanagy, Okie and Ruth Ann Evans; uncles and aunts, Jeremy (Greta) Kanagy, Tony (Samantha) Kanagy, Arick (Christine) Kanagy, Todd (Amy) Evans, Luke (Sherry) Nelson, Frank Karshner, Donna and Janis Hulsey; cousins, Lane, Hayden, Easton, Leo, Lincoln, Thaddeus Kanagy, Tirah (Justin & Alaina) Hix, Tara (Dylan, AJ, Nathan & Judson) Theobald, Trisha (Bryan, BlakeLynn, Logan & Sammy) Croyle, Dillon and Austin (Robi) Evans; dearest friend’s Zachary Worrell and Eletha Morales, along with many other family members and friends.
His memory will live on through the laughter he brought to all who knew him, and his legacy of love, kindness, and joy will never be forgotten.
A service celebrating Nathanael’s life will be held at Purpose Church in Sevierville, Tn. on Thursday 2/13/25; visitation from 11:00 to 1:00PM with the funeral service starting at 1:00. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Nathanael's life will be held on Saturday 02/15/2025 at Awakening Christian Center in Mount Gilead, Ohio; with a dinner to follow.
