Rebecca "Bea" Gilliam Smith

Rebecca “Bea” Lee Gilliam Smith, age 82, of Morristown, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, surrounded by family. Bea loved the Lord, her grandkids, and her dogs. Spending time with her family and reading her bible were her life. She is preceded in death by parents Patton, & Ida Taylor; daughters, Michelle Gilliam Wynn, Phyllis Owen; brother, Edward Taylor; sisters, Dessie Deese, June Spangle; former husband, Emery Gilliam. Bea is survived by son, Don (Linda) Gilliam; daughters, Rose (Jim) Murphy, Ann (Don) Davis, Lynn Herren, Billie (Jim) Colley, 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons; sister, Joyce Day; brother, Astor (Mabel) Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; special sister in law, Tiny Gilliam.  The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Tennova Newport Convalescent Center and Dr. James Williams for their superb care and compassion. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 10:45am at Jarnagin Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service, preacher Chris Burrell officiating.
