Rick Harmon

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of "Rick" Alvin Richard Harmon Jr.,who departed from this world on Tuesday March 25, 2025 at the age of 70. Rick was a beloved member of the community, and served with the Morristown Police Department for more than thirty years retiring as Detective Sgt.

Rick is preceded in death by his father Alvin Richard Harmon; mother Helen Elizabeth Lee Harmon; Uncle Glen Lee.

Rick is survived by his spouse Phyllis Harmon; children Kaylah Curlee (H. Josh Curlee), Kyndal McAnally (H. Alex McAnally); step – children Eric Livesay (W. Theresa Livesay), Kevin Livesay; grandchildren Braelea Curlee; step-grandchildren Meleena Livesay (H. Josh Swinson Livesay), Myrissa Livesay, Gage Livesay, Olivia Schorpp (H. Matt Schorpp), John Paul Dickens (W. Haley Dickens), Brodey Dickens; step- great- grandchildren Isaiah Swinson, Nathanael Swinson, Joseph Swinson, Delaney Livesay and numerous friends who will miss him dearly. A special mention to Lisa Livesay and Amanda Livesay.

A graveside funeral service with Morristown City / Hamblen Combined Police Honors will be held on Saturday March 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Historic Emma Jarnagin Cemetery with Master Chaplain Charles Letterman officiating.

Though Rick may no longer be with us, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
