Obituary
On Father’s Day Sunday, June 18, 2023 Dean Cogdill of Newport went home to be with his Heavenly Father.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Ginger Cogdill, his parents Olenis and Alene Cogdill, his brother, W.J. Cogdill and sister, Pam White.
He is survived by his daughter Angel Cogdill, step daughter Allison Williams, grandchildren Bella & Landyn Wilds, brothers Roger (Diane) and Randy Cogdill, sisters Brenda (Bill) Ford and Norma Coggins along with several nieces and nephews.
Dean was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. He was a very talented musician and sang with several gospel groups. One of his most requested songs was “How Great Thou Art”.Dean was retired from Newport Recycling. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the American Heart Association.
