Ronald Howard Smith

Ronald (Ronnie) H. Smith, passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2023 at his home in Jefferson City, TN with his wife and family by his side. He was 66 years old.

If you didn’t know Ronnie, you were missing out. He was full of life and laughter. Everyone knows he could tell a story, get cracked up and start laughing before he could finish the punch line.

Ronnie was born on July 3rd, 1956, in Toledo, OH to Albert and Frances Smith. He loved his upbringing in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Carter High School. He enjoyed being a fisherman, playing golf and being outdoors.

He met the love of his life Sondra Smith, and they married on October 12th, 1979. He worked at Knoxville Coca-Cola Company for 34 years serving East TN where he was best known as “Bubba” to all his co-workers. He was a loving and caring Husband, Father and “Pops”.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father Albert Smith; grandparents: Fred and Cynthia Palmer, Howard and Margaret Smith.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Sondra of 44 years; 2 sons Justin (Heidi) of Knoxville, TN, Jason (Megan) of Franklin, TN; 5 grandchildren: Kiria, Peyton, Charley, Duke, and Hank; his mother Frances Smith, his brother Dewaine Smith (Cheryl), sisters Debbie (Joe Mathis), Sharon Marcus (Donnie Raines), Stephanie Smith (Kathy Pennington), as well as beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held at Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, 4615 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37914, on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, from 11-1pm. The Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow beginning at 1pm. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
