Roy "Roosevelt" Dodson

Roy "Roosevelt" Dodson, 86, of Dandridge, TN, passed away peacefully in his home on July 22, 2024. He was a school bus driver for 33 years. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, and watching Westerns. He was originally from Virginia but moved to Tennessee in 2007.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pearl Dodson; sons, Robert Turner and Wayne Turner; two sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Genevieve Dodson; Children, Sheila Perrott of VA, Darrell Dodson of VA, Jimmy Turner of Jefferson City, Teresa Dodson of Jefferson City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 2:00pm-3:30pm at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 3:30pm.
