Steven Ray Ellison

Steven Ray Ellison, 52, of Newport, Tennessee, passed away on July 15, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born on July 29, 1972, in Greer, South Carolina.

Steven was the beloved son of Venus (Linda)Ellison and Wyonia Vick. He is survived by his siblings, Venus William Ellison, Tammy Ellison, and Michella Ellison, and was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Ellison, grandparents Aulden and Ella Ellison, and Viola Ellison, uncles James Ellison and JB Ellison, aunt Jonita Lunsford, and great aunt Elsie Thompson.

A devoted father, Steven is lovingly remembered by his children: Alex, Bryson, Jonathan, Ashlyn, Harrison, Hollis, and Logan as well as nine cherished grandchildren.

Steven graduated from Palmetto High School and proudly served in the United States Navy during Desert Storm on the USS Saratoga. After his military service, he became a very talented certified welder and supervisor with Conac Precast, traveling the country—often working alongside his son.

Known for his strong work ethic and generous heart, Steven loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was a loyal supporter of his children’s sports and was always the first to lend a helping hand. Steven didn’t wait to be asked—he simply showed up and gave his all.

He will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering loyalty, and the deep love he held for his family and friends.

His ashes will be laid to rest at the family cemetery. GPS directions: 1550 Chapel Hollow Road  in Del Rio, Tennessee. Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2 p.m.
