Obituary
Terry Lynn Cardwell, 68, of Newport, Tn. passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Terry was a veteran of the United States Army (Military Police). Some of his favorite things to do were spending time with his family, watching Tennessee Football and westerns, and talking about the army. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Grady and Alpha Cardwell, and stepchildren; Jan Ottinger and Roger Fine. He is survived by his wife; Sue Cardwell, son; Terry Cardwell Jr. (Mary), stepdaughter; Regina Griffin (Steve), and grandchildren; Jacob and Ethan Cardwell, Stephen, Travis (Shea), Jessie, and Dryden Griffin,Josh (Courtney) and Whitney Ottinger, great grandchildren; Emily, Carter, Waylon, Harper Griffin, and
Hazeleigh Ottinger. Siblings; Jerry Cardwell and Diane Etherton. Special friend Calvin
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Funeral service with military honors will begin at 12:00pm at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A special thanks to the staff Resthaven.
