Theresa Mims

Theresa Mims, age 64 of Dandridge, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer, on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Theresa was a loving mother, wife and friend.  She is preceded in death by husband, William Fred Mims, mother Sadie Griffin Buckner; father, Kyle Buckner, brother, Ricky Buckner and her two dogs Ella and Zoe.  Theresa is survived by daughter, Heather Mims of Dandridge, sister in law Shari Mims Perryman (David), nieces Lia Perryman Rauber (Matthew), Alayna Perryman and nephew William Bud Perryman and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Theresa was an excellent basketball and tennis player.  She loved the outdoors and spending time at the lake with her friends.  She was a successful entrepreneur who started her own dog grooming business, Pretty Paws in Dandridge, TN.  The family request that in lieu of flowers, make donations to the Jefferson County Humane Society. A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery Newport, Tn. on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM
