Venita Lynn Chapman, 59, of Morristown TN went to her Heavenly home on Friday, September 1st. She fought a hard battle with cancer for 2 1/2 years. She was determined to live as long as she could and proved her doctors wrong many times. She found her fight during this battle and her faith inspired all those around her. She was surrounded by family and friends who loved her.
She was born January 2nd, 1964, to Glen and Leona Wolford. She attended the Pentecostals of Morristown, where she not only grew spiritually but gained a family. The joy of her heart was her family. She always made an effort to be present. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a very giving person, often giving away her own furniture to those in need. She
opened up her home many times to others. She taught us to love unconditionally, and if someone needs help regardless of the situation, you help them!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Leona Wolford of West Virginia; her grandparents, Austin and Phoebe Lee, and Doc and Mary Wolford; her mother and father-in-law, Woodrow and Nellie Chapman.
She is survived by the love of her life of 27 years, Dwayne Chapman; her three daughters, Jessica (Timmy) Justice, Amy (David) Akers, and Felicia Hager; her one son who the girls will say was her favorite, Joey (Alyssa) Chapman; her 15 grandchildren who were the pride of her life, Camryn, Carly, Aiden, Ethan, Brooklyn, Aaron, Sophia, Taylor, Laques, Xzayvion, Landon, Abel, Asher, Arlan, and Barry; her brother, Johnny (Pam) Wolford; her fur baby, Benji; and a host of loving in-laws
Her last week on earth all she would say is, “I wanna go home”, and a few times woke up upset that she was “not home yet” so to her we say ... Welcome Home.
Services will be held at The Pentecostals of Morristown, 300 Jaybird Road, Morristown, TN 37813. Visitation will be held on September 6th, 2023, at 5pm, with a service to follow at 7pm.
