Wayne Allen Rankins

Wayne Allen Rankins, 65, of Newport, TN. was called to his eternal heavenly home on Thursday, November 16, 2023.  Wayne enjoyed to deer hunt and play his guitar.  He loved to fellowship with and witness to others.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Rankins and Bonne Allred; grandparents, George and Georgia Benton; special uncle, Berlin Benton; sister, Starlitt Rankins; and father- and mother-in-law, Ike and Maggie Fine.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janie Rankins; sons, Dustin, Dwayne and Norman Rankins; several grandchildren; nephew Allen Grooms; brothers, Derrick Allred and Robin Nelson; special aunt who was like a mother to him, Wanda Benton; very special brothers- and sisters-in-law; along with a host of other family; special friends, Terry Fox, Charlie Joe Norton, Brian Huff and Michael Gilbert. Per the request of Wayne there will be no services.  A celebration of life will be set announced at a later date.
