William Randall "Randy" Denton

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of William “Randy” Denton, age 48, of Newport. Randy passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, in his home.

Having served in the Air Force, Randy exemplified dedication and honor in his military associations.

At his core, Randy was a light-hearted, kind individual who deeply cared for those he loved. His family wants him to be remembered for his contagious smile, kind laugh, and warmhearted hugs. His presence brought warmth and joy to those lucky enough to call him a friend. Though we are extremely saddened to be without his presence, we find comfort in 2 Corinthians 5:8, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” We know Randy is happy and healthy, surrounded by his family members in Heaven.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Denton; sister, Susie Clevenger; and nephew, Jake Clevenger.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Denton; daughters, Haylee Bishop and Madee Denton; brother, David Denton; nephew Joe Joe Henderson; his fur baby, Murphy; and several other family members.

A private entombment with military honors will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens to honor and remember Randy's life and service. We pray his spirit will be a source of comfort and strength during this time of loss.
