Wilma Jean (Kyker) Drinnon

Wilma Jean Kyker Drinnon, age 83, of Newport passed away on the evening of October 22, 2023.  She has gone to her heavenly home to be with Jesus, her beloved husband Clay and all her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Henry Clay Drinnon, Her parents W.C. and Anna Mae Cureton Kyker, five Brothers and three sisters. In addition, her most recent love and companion of 15 years, Don Emery.   

She is survived by her nieces Kay Ramsey of Newport; Joy Kim Johnston of Atlanta Georgia, Cousin Pat Aldridge of Johnson City, TN; One niece and four nephews of Ohio, and one dear Sister-in-Law, Joyce Ann Drinnon Price of Rogersville, TN.  

She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Newport, TN.  

The receiving of friends and family will be at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum in Dandridge TN. at 2:00 PM on Wednesday Oct 25th. with Mrs. Marta Cogburn and Rev. David Woody officiating. Immediately following the service, Wilma will be entombed in the Chapel Mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Gardens next to her husband Clay.  

In lieu of flowers, it is asked that you donate to the Shriner’s Children's Hospital of Greenville, S.C. or the First United Methodist Church in Newport, TN.
